September 2014

Dear Families,

I would like to take this opportunity to personally welcome you and your child to M.S. 210. My name is Ms. Rukenstein and I will be your child’s Language Arts teacher for the 2014-2015 academic year.

We have an exciting year ahead of us. You and your child will be part of a classroom community. I thank you in advance for future volunteering, reinforcing school and classroom rules, and a strong parent-teacher relationship.

I will keep you informed about upcoming projects, assignments, and events. Your child must read every single night. It is very important for his or her reading fluency and vocabulary development. In addition, homework will be assigned every single day on SKEDULA. If an emergency situation arises please provide your child with a note. Your child's attendance and punctuality will be kept track of as it directly correlates with his or her success in school.

Please don’t be alarmed by the class supply list. These supplies will allow your child to come to school prepared. Plus, they will be used throughout the year.

Our goals are the same. We want “our children” to succeed and rise above their own academic objectives. I look forward to meeting you and educating your children. I welcome you aboard this amazing academic journey.

Sincerely,

Audry Rukenstein
